Course Name: Lindhbrook Country Club
Designer: Unknown (1954)
Location: Hope Valley, Rhode Island
History: Owned by the Mashantucket Tribe and Foxwoods Resort and Casino until 2000, Lindhbrook fell into disrepair and closed in 2013.
Conditions: 5/10, When I played, conditions were better than expected considering there was an honor box. The greens were pretty slow but rolled true and the tee boxes weren’t in terrible shape. Since the course is closed now, however, wildlife has overgrown it.
Value: N/A, It was an honor box when I played and has since closed.

Hole Descriptions: Most of the holes here are pretty solid par 3’s ranging from 123 yards to 207 yards. The front 9 is much shorter with many short par 3’s. The most memorable hole on the side is the 8th at 190 yards. A creek crosses the fairway at about 170 yards, and two bunkers flank this green. The back 9 starts off with 3 short par 3’s but then has some very difficult finishing holes. I was a big fan of the 18th, a strong 179 yard hole that requires a well-struck long iron over a valley all the way to a tiny green protected by three bunkers.
General Comments: There is no range at Lindhbrook and pace of play was great when we played.
Verdict: Lindhbrook was at one point a pretty decent executive course but is now closed for business.
