While the front side is a bit bland, the back more than makes up for it with one of the most exciting stretches of holes on Tour. Although the conditioning still needs some work, the recently renovated Keney Park stands out in a rather robust Hartford golf scene. The value and history at this classic seaside Donald Ross are hard to beat and I can’t think of many Connecticut public courses I’d rather play than Shennecossett. I highly recommend this course to anyone in Southern Rhode Island or Eastern Connecticut.
