History: Family owned and operated, Fairlawn used to be known as Day N’ Night Golf in the 1970’s when it had lights for night golf.
Conditions: 7/10, the conditions at Fairlawn were very good. It had lush teeboxes and rough, and fast well kept greens.
Value: 7/10, it was $12 to walk 9, but only $1 to walk another 9 afterwards, which is a great deal if you have the time.

Hole Descriptions: The 1st hole is a simple 133 yard straightforward hole, but the 2nd is a pretty strong par 3. At 181 yards, this number 1 handicap features a small creek guarding the right side of the hole. After another short straight par 3, the 4th hole plays 167 yards to an elevated green. The 5th hole only plays 91 yards and is straight downhill with a large bunker right in front of the green. A large fence guards behind the hole, and it is evident many players have a hard time choosing a club here. The 6th plays straight uphill at 110 yards, while the 7th plays downhill at 110 yards. The 8th hole was one of the better holes here at 161 yards to a tiny green guarded by deep bunkers on both sides. I thought the hardest hole was the finishing one, a 193 yard par 3 that played into the wind.
General Comments: While there is no range, there was a nice large putting green next to the clubhouse. Pace of play was good for the first 9 I played, but pretty poor for the second 9.
Verdict: Fairlawn is a well-kept, affordable executive course that is definitely worth your time if you want to practice your iron play.
